About CDA
Liberia's Statutory Agency for Cooperative Development
CDA traces back to traditional Kuu & Susu cooperative practices, formalized by the Cooperative Act of 1936. CDA itself was established April 7, 1981 by Executive Order #10 under the People’s Redemption Council Government, replacing the Ministry of Agriculture’s Cooperative & Marketing Division. Today it’s the national regulator and promoter of cooperative societies across all counties.
